The Sawyer County’s Birth to 3 Program is a family-centered, home-based program that helps support children under the age of three with developmental delays or disabilities and their families.

Drinking/Well Water Testing

Sawyer County Health and Human Services has partnered up with UW-Oshkosh and are now providing drinking water test kits for residents, lodging facilities, and food retail facilities with private wells. Tests, such as Coliform Bacteria (E. coli), Nitrate, Arsenic, and some Metals are available at the Sawyer County Public Health Department front desk (during regular business hours).

Environmental Health

In 2018 the Sawyer County Department of Heath and Human Services expanded its Public Health Division to include an Environmental Health Team. The Environmental Health Team is devoted to the use of environmental health principles to promote and protect the health of all people who live in and visit Sawyer County. Current services include monitoring and inspection for health and safety of drinking water, retail food, recreational establishments, and the home environment.
