Chairperson Pearson called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.
Approval of Agenda
Moved by Bassett, seconded by Gunderson to approve the agenda. Motion Carried.
Approval of Minutes
Moved by Bassett, seconded by Thompson to approve the minutes of the August 9, 2010 meeting. Motion Carried

Sawyer County Agricultural Fair Association
Ron Kubarek reported. Gate attendance at the Fair was up Thursday and Friday; Saturday and Sunday remained consistent. The weather was great. The Fair Board is currently working on the 2011 budget request from Sawyer County. Kubarek did not have attendance numbers available but knows that the dollar amounts taken in at the gates were up. The carnival raised their rates this year while the gate fees remained the same from last year. The Committee discussed utilizing the fair property outside of the Fair weekend to raise revenue. Kubarek stated that funds generated throughout the year from rentals, etc go back into Fair operations. Discussion. Committee Member Jim Bassett complimented the Fair Board on another fantastic Fair.
133 Contracts
Moved to approve 133 contracts by Bassett, seconded by Paulsen. Motion carried.
Agent Report – Kevin Schoessow, Ag. Agent
Kevin Schoessow, Ag Agent, distributed report and reviewed with the committee. Photos of programs complimented the report. There was discussion on the Master Gardener program, as well as Grape growing/wine production, etc. Upcoming events, 9/18 – Sheep Pasture Walk at Steve Miles residence in Seeley, 10 am-Noon; Winter “Meet Me at the Garden” event on 9/18, 10 am-1 pm.
Approval of Vouchers
Moved by Paulsen, seconded by Thompson to approve the payment of vouchers. Motion Carried
Approval of Out-of-County Travel
Moved by Bassett, seconded by Thompson to approve of Out-of-County Travel. Motion Carried
Any Other Business
Paulsen requests that Civil Rights Review be put on next month’s agenda, as well as an expansion of the monthly agent report such as measures against work plans.
