The meeting was called to order at 9:30 a.m. by Chair Pearson.  Motion by Paulsen, second by Thompson to approve agenda.  Motion carried.

Motion by Thompson, second by Paulsen to approve the minutes of the August 9, 2010 meeting.  Motion carried.

Approval of ATV rehab bids

Peterson:  Passed out summary sheet (on file with minutes).  Four bids were received on each project.  J-R Mowing & Excavating was the low bidder on both projects.  Motion by Bassett, second by Thompson to approve low bids by J-R Mowing and Excavating.  Motion carried.  Bassett asked if grant monies over bid amount could be used.  Peterson responded that when projects are finished, extra grant monies could be directed to each project if feasible. 

Sawyer County Forestry Report

Peterson:  Passed out information sheet (on file with minutes).  Discussion was held on abandoned recreational camps regarding liability issues if personal property is left on county land. 

DNR forestry report

Koltz:  1) Village of Winter county forest land acreage - original data was punched in wrong, has been corrected and won't appear again.  2) Removal of recreational camps - cleanup of areas is very well done.

Monthly expense vouchers

Motion by Bassett, second by Paulsen to approve the vouchers as presented.  Motion carried.

Other matters for discussion only

1) Monthly report passed out; 2) John Saunders - 3/4 mile of trail work done since last month (given permission by committee).  Bassett suggested keeping projects under 1 acre of disturbance to avoid permit issue.

Closed Session

Motion at 10:00 AM by Bassett, second by Thompson to go into closed session pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85(1)(f), update on status of disciplinary action.  Motion carried. 

Motion by Paulsen, second by Thompson to return to open session at 10:25 AM.  Motion carried. [Minutes of Closed Session are kept in confidential file in the County Clerks' office}.

Adjourn

Motion by Bassett, second by Thompson to adjourn at 10:30 AM.  Motion carried.
