NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

STATE OF WISCONSIN

SAWYER COUNTY

 

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given to all persons that a PUBLIC HEARING will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 7:00 PM in the Sawyer County Courthouse, 10610 Main, Hayward Wisconsin before the Sawyer County Board of Appeals relative to the following proposals:

 

PRELIMINARY MATTERS

 

1)         Call to Order and Roll Call

2)         Statement of Committee and Hearing Procedure

3)         Statement of Hearing Notice

 

VARIANCE APPLICATION

 

1)         Town of Draper – Town of Draper c/o Edward Peters, Chairman.  Lots 7-12 Block 2, Village of Draper. Volume 33 Records page 16, Volume 88 page 47.  0.489 acres total. Property is zoned Residential One. Application is for the replacement of a 30.5’ x 50.5’ garage with a new 35’ x 50.5’ garage that would be adjoined to an existing 70’ x 40’ garage. The existing garage is 26.5’ from the centerline of Howard Street and the new garage would also be 26.5’ from the centerline of Howard Street and 30’ from the centerline of Main Street. Variance is requested as Section 4.21(3), Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance, would require the prior granting of a variance for a structure to be located closer than 63’ from the centerline of a Class C Highway and for streets other than major and arterial roads designated as such on official maps in effect in the County.

 

 

2)         Town of Hayward – Thomas Connell et ux. Part of Gov’t lots 2 & 3, S 14, T 41N, R 8W; Parcel :3.6. Volume 729 Records page 1. Lot size is approximately 125’ x 270’ containing 0.71 acres. Property is zoned Residential/Recreational One. Application is for the construction of a 26’ x 30’ portion and a 26’ x 16’ portion of a detached garage that is located as close as 32’ (30’ with eaves) to the road right-of-way of Highway 77. The proposed garage will be located 158’ to the centerline of Hwy 77.  Variance is requested as Section 4.21(1), Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance, would require that the structure be 130’ from the centerline of the highway or 66’ from the right-of-way, whichever is greater.
