Event Dates

Delivery of department mail to courthouse

Consensus was it wouldn't make any difference.

Approval of bike/pedestrian trail along Highway B

Map and description of trail were discussed.  The Archery Range would need to move some targets.  The trail must be paved and at least 10' wide and utilizes mostly existing roads.  Peterson stated that logging jobs can work around trail.  Koltz asked who would be in charge of trail (maintenance); funding does not include maintenance once established; possibility of using donations.  Paulsen would like information in packet to examine before meetings.

Approval of NoRTAC membership dues

The question arose as to which account to take $500 dues from.  Committee had discussed previously (in the last year) when NoRTAC was formed.  Since the billing agency is Northwest Regional Planning Commission, do they receive the extra money (on top of amount already being paid to NWRPC)?  Paulsen asked if it could wait.  Pearson wants complete report.  Committee would like information before meeting.  Motion by Thompson, second by Gundersen to approve payment of dues and that monies are to be taken from Resource Development.  Motion carried.

Sawyer County Forestry Report

Peterson:  1) Paulsen asked for written report - should be next month; 2) 13 active sales; 3) Inspected ATV/Snowmobile trails - holding up; 4) Forestry Department had two people (David Todus and Dee Dobilas) sitting at Price Dam monitoring water level; 5) Three cabin removals - 55 left; 6) ORV Council meets 7/20/10 in Wausau, Sawyer County submitted three grant proposals - Peterson will attend.

DNR forestry report

Koltz: 1) Annual audit - report not finalized, but expect copy by August meeting; 2) Peterson has submitted list of berm/road work to be done-DNR time standards.

Monthly expense vouchers

Motion by Bassett, second by Thompson to approve the vouchers as presented.  Motion carried.

Other matters for discussion only

1) Monthly reports were passed out; 2) Bassett spoke about printed material about wolves; 3) Paulson questioned letter from Town of Round Lake Chair regarding logging in township - Pearson spoke with Chair, copy of ordinance to be given to loggers.
