NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

STATE OF WISCONSIN

SAWYER COUNTY

 

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given to all persons that a PUBLIC HEARING will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 7:00 PM in the Sawyer County Courthouse, 10610 Main, Hayward Wisconsin, before the Sawyer County Board of Appeals relative to the following proposals:

 

PRELIMINARY MATTERS

 

1)         Call to Order and Roll Call

2)         Statement of Board and Hearing Procedure

3)         Statement of Hearing Notice

 

VARIANCE APPLICATION

 

1)         Town of Bass Lake – James and Linda (Kremer) Reed. Lot 6, being part of lots 1 & 2 Court Oreilles Park Subdivision; S35, T 40N, R 9W; Parcel -17.6.  Volume 471 Records page 240. 0.636 acres. Property is zoned Residential/Recreational One. Application is for an after-the-fact variance for the construction of an approximately 504 square feet addition connecting an existing dwelling to an existing detached garage. The resultant total footprint of the existing structures and the addition is approximately 2588 square feet. Approximate setbacks to the ordinary high water mark of Durphee Lake are: Dwelling – 53’ and addition – 81’.  Variance is requested as Section 4.421(2)(b), Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance, would require that the total footprint, to include the existing structures (dwelling and garage) and the connecting addition, not exceed 1500 square feet. The Town Board has denied the application with additional comments. This application has been postponed from the December public hearing.

 

2)         Town of Edgewater – Jonathan Sylte etux. A parcel in Gov’t lot 1, S9, T 37N, R 9W; Parcel :1.6. Doc#361828. 0.580 acres. Property is zoned Residential/Recreational One. Application is for the construction of a 26’ x 38’ dwelling and a 26’ x 26’ detached garage, each at a setback distance of 32’ to a wetland area. Variance is requested as Section 4.49(1), Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance, would require a minimum setback distance of 40’ to this wetland area.
