Chris Sluis   sluiscd@yahoo.com      3/15/2010 2:37:00 PM Lake Chetac water sports I have heard that there is an extra law on Lake Chetac stating that water sports such as water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing etc. can only be done during the hours of 11am to 5pm unlike the state law of sunrise to sunset. Although I cant seem to find any evidence supporting this. Is this restriction true? Surely you and I want some trees left for our kids to enjoy?!?!?! I am a very involved hunter and outdoorsman. I know we are all educated enough to understand the destruction of a clear cutting. But then "you guys" give us the bull#$%& on how its good to the environment. No not really. Maybe if you would plant some trees in your destructive wake. Or "this is a good one SLECTE CUT". I recently talked to someone in your office about purchasing "County" land that had been clear cut on the Thornapple grade.( the reason i put "County" land in quotes is that it is ALL OUR land. not just the county officials. Don’t forget about us the tax payers. Had I been able to buy that land I would have planted thousands of trees yes thousands. all sorts. why the reason for all the logging? yes I know money. maybe go through you BUDGET and take some pay cuts or whatever be creative, not destructive.
