Presently we have access to all RECORDS BACK TO MAY 1979.  All Federal Tax Liens/Releases - dated back to 1925 - present, Lis Pendens/Releases dated back to 1960 to present, UCC - from June 1999 to present.  "This website contains information on Notices of Federal Tax Lien and other lien documents that is not identical in content to documents presented to the office by the IRS. Therefore, the results of a search of this indexing system cannot be relied upon in judical or administrative proceedings related to title or transfer of property, including but not limited to searches relative to sales of property and foreclosure proceedings, in determining ownership interests in property on which a Notice of Federal Tax Lien attaches.  For assistance in obtaining a copy of the required documents as filed by IRS, please contact Sawyer County Register of Deeds of this office at 715-634-4867. Copies of recorded documents may be obtained only from this office for which the search was conducted.

We cannot be responsible for older documents that may have legibility issues and were placed into our paper records many years prior to the inception of the current software being used at this time.  All efforts have been made to present the best possible document image. Legal Descriptions were not required by Statute on all documents, prior to March 1, 1992.  Please remember this when performing your search!
